I'm a bit of a dichotomy; a conventional eccentric. I balance family, home, love life and social life precariously, teetering along the edge but usually smiling as I wobble my way along in life. In the words of Meredith Brooks: I'm a little bit of everything, all rolled into one; I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint (um, actually, that last one isn't entirely true)... etc etc. I'm sure you get the idea. I'm complicated. :)

I grew up in Manchester, but am now lucky enough to live in the Peak District, which is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK (after Cornwall). I love to cook, to bake, to be out in my garden. Someone recently described my life as being a bit 'Enid Blyton' and at times that's almost true (although with added spice, naturally *grin*).

I love making new friends, but as a result of past events I am sometimes a bit wary of random 'adds' on LJ. So by all means friend me if you wish, but please drop me a line or leave me a comment telling me who you are, etc :)
